Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis

*‘O Son of Man’ is a hymn-tune, written by Tavener at school, never performed – but remembered ever since by John’s lifelong friend John Rutter, who remembers John playing it through on the school-organ in 1960. Wednesday will, remarkably, be its world-premiere!
John Tavener wrote his magnum opus, the all-night musical vigil Veil of the Temple, for the Temple Church and its choir.

There will be drinks in the round after the service for all the congregation
