The Temple Singers

The Temple Singers were founded in 2006 by James Vivian. They are an ensemble based on the choirmen of the Temple Church, joined by professional sopranos.

The Temple Singers perform works which are not ideally suited to boys’ voices. In recent years, they have joined The Temple Players in a fully-staged production of Dido & Aeneas in Middle Temple Hall (an uncommonly satisfying, and very beautiful account of Dido & Aeneas.  Great event! … every tempo sounded natural, unhurried yet lively. – Opera). They have also performed Handel’s Messiah, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and Brahms’ Requiem in concert at the Temple Church.

The Temple Singers also perform at occasional services, enhancing and complementing the Temple Church Choir.
