Becoming a chorister
The chorister experience at Temple Church is rewarding and provides a life enhancing opportunity to be part of a professional musical team singing in one of the most prestigious and historic churches in London.
A chorister education provides children with unique opportunities to grow and develop a range of life skills. Choristers are taught and supported by an expert team of teachers and encouraged to develop a specialised musical skillset over several years, setting young people up for a bright future. The routine of the choir is busy but very rewarding.
The benefits include:
· A cathedral-style education whilst living at home with family, and attending any school
· An outstanding musical training which is second to none (singing, ensemble, and theory tuition)
· The development of life skills, such as time management, team work, consideration, self-discipline and responsibility
· Becoming part of a unique team, striving for musical excellence alongside some of the finest adult musicians in London
· Unique performance opportunities alongside professional musicians
· Making many friends
· Becoming an heir to a tradition that has its roots in the twelfth century
