Temple Church is an exciting and vibrant place for music in the heart of London. The Choral Scholarship scheme is aimed at aspiring professional singers about to embark on a music career who are looking for guidance, support, and a dynamic place to sing regularly as part of their journey from student to professional. The scholarship is intended for those who have completed their degree training, as well as exceptional candidates in the final stages of their undergraduate studies. This programme is an opportunity for four scholars (one of each voice part: soprano, alto, tenor, bass) to play an active part in the activities of the Temple Church Choirs whilst learning from our team of professional singers, and receiving training. The programme at Temple encompasses a broad range of activities including two choirs, choral services, an ambitious concert schedule, a youth choir, and an outreach programme to primary schools. The two church choirs additionally sing at memorial services, weddings and several concerts a year. This scholarship is an opportunity to be led and supported through the experience of working in a busy and varied professional environment. Scholars will sing regularly as part of our two choirs: Temple Church Choir (made up of trebles and a back row of professional ATB) and Temple Singers (sopranos and professional ATB).

Brodsky Quartet & William Barton
Brodsky QuartetWilliam Barton (didgeridoo)The world-renowned Brodsky Quartet joins didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton for a sensational collaboration that pairs icons of the classical canon with the visceral sounds of the Australian landscape. Performing in the atmospheric surroundings of the Temple Church, this collaboration creates a direct dialogue between the world's oldest living culture and the storied traditions of Western chamber music. This programme offers a rare opportunity to experience Barton’s extraordinary stage presence and the primal resonance of the didgeridoo ('yidaki') alongside the quartet's legendary precision. From the baroque elegance of Purcell to the contemporary voice of Andrew Ford, the evening spans centuries of musical evolution, culminating in a transcendent fusion of breath and string. Do not miss this exhilarating and moving performance from five of the world’s most versatile musicians. William Barton: Brief soundscape
